About ANROSP

ANROSP: A national network of diverse environmental outreach and service programs creating greater natural resource conservation & education!

MISSION: ANROSP promotes awareness and citizen stewardship of natural resources through science-based education and service programs.

VISION: ANROSP envisions healthy ecosystems and communities through citizens who learn- teach- and practice natural resource stewardship.

GOALS:


Overview

The Alliance of Natural Resource Outreach & Service Programs promotes citizen stewardship of natural resources through science-based conservation- education- and service programs. ANROSP supports and enhances member programs- and facilitates development of new programs. Many different types of programs fulfill our mission- including Master Naturalist- Certified Citizen Naturalist Volunteer- Master Watershed Steward- Coverts- Master Conservationist- and many more nationwide.

Participating programs are as diverse as the states in which they occur- but all must include: up-to-date- in-depth training in a broad range of natural resource topics- delivered by experts in the field to participants from all walks of life; a field-based learning component- either expert-led or self-guided; additional focus on local ecosystems; and opportunities for conservation service and outreach within participants’ own communities.

ANROSP has membership opportunities for programs and individuals. Natural resource organizations and agencies are also invited to explore partnership opportunities with ANROSP. Members receive answers to frequently asked questions about program development and evolution- access to best practices via annual national conferences and a peer-reviewed e-journal- greater networking with colleagues- information on funding resources- a start-up packet for new programs- mentoring and advice- access to a list serve and newsletter- and much more.
